New Collegiate and Alumnae Chapters

Alpha Omicron Pi is expanding! The 182nd chartered chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi, Lambda Alpha, was installed at the University of La Verne in southern California on May 5, 2007. Thirty wonderful women were initiated into Alpha Omicron Pi: 27 collegiate members and three alumnae initiates. Susan Danko, International President, served as the installing officer. Delta Xi chapter will be installed May 19, 2007, at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology which is located in Terre Haute, Indiana. The new Rocky Mountain Area Alumnae Chapter was installed April 29, 2007. This chapter is part of the Kansas City chapter's regional team. We are thrilled to have a new chapter join our group! In addition to these new installations, Alpha Omicron Pi has a number of other extension opportunities taking place. An informational meeting and focus groups were held at Virginia Commonwealth University, located in Richmond, Virginia, in March. Alpha Omicron Pi is excited to move forward in the public relations process at VCU. Colonization is scheduled for September 22. For more information, you can visit www.aoiivcu.org. Alpha Omicron Pi leaders also presented at Sonoma State University (Sonoma, CA); and Kennesaw State University (Kennesaw, GA). These Universities have targeted colonization for the 2007-08 school year.
