Spring Plant Sale.

It's still winter (even though it doesn't feel like it!) but it's not too early to be thinking ahead to our annual spring flower sale fundraiser. Every year for at least the last ten years- and probably a lot more- the Kansas City Alumnae group has raised money for the Foundation, scholarships, and other charitable causes through the flower sale. Two years ago the greenhouse we had used for years closed. Our VP of Fundraising, Michele Park, researched local greenhouses and we signed up with Greeson's Greenhouse in Lone Jack, Missouri. Each year we have a variety of begonias, marigolds, impatiens, vincas, petunias, and more available for sale. The response every year is wonderful and many people have been faithful flower buyers for years. The flowers are all of an excellent quality and bloom beautifully. The order form for the flower sale will be in our next quarterly newsletter, which will mail in early March. If you did not receive our most recent newsletter at the beginning of December and want to be sure to receive a flower order form, please email us. More information will be posted here when the flower sale begins, so those of you who want to place orders can do so. The flowers usually arrive at the end of April and an AOII member will deliver them to your house. Thanks to all who help support our chapter and it's causes by participating in this fundraiser!
