Scholarship available.
The Kansas City Alumnae Panhellenic offers an educational grant and interest free loan program for female students. Theseprograms are not limited to sorority members, so if you have friends or family who might be interested, feel free to pass this information along.
The grants and loans are available to female senior or graduate students who are residents of the greater Kansas City area and attending Kansas or Missouri schools. The greater Kansas City area is defined as Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte, and Ray counties in Missouri, and Johnson, Leavenworth, Miami, and Wyandotte counties in Kansas.
Applicants must be a senior or graduate level student at the beginning of the next academic year with at least a 3.0 grade point average. Again, the applicant does not have to be a member of a sorority.
The loan program requires signing a promissory note along with a co-signor. Repayment begins 6 months following graduation or departure from college, and the minimum payment is $50 per month. No interest is due as long as regular payments are made on time.
The application must be postmarked by February 17, 2007.
All completed applications will be reviewed, and selected applicatns will be notified and interviewed in the KC area in March or early April of 2007.
The application materials are available online at www.kcpanhel.com, or you can email us from this blog and we will forward the materials to you.
Good luck to all applicants!
