Alpha Omicron Pi Kansas City Alumnae

Kelly Schumm's Visit.

Kansas City area alumnae were treated to a visit from Kelly Schumm, who is the Director of Development and Marketing for the Alpha Omicron Pi Foundation. Chapter President Becki Carl-Stutz (and baby Matthew), Vice President Michele Park, and Treasurer Debbi Johanning met her for lunch on Saturday at W.J. McBride's restaurant in Overland Park, and Kelly also attended the day group meeting on Monday. Kelly grew up in Kentucky and is an initiate of Alpha Chi Chapter at Western Kentucky University. But don't let her Southern roots fool you- she is a true blue Jayhawk fan at heart! Kelly has family in the Lawrence and Kansas City area, and has been a lifelong KU fan. In fact, according to her baby book, the "Rock Chalk" song was the first song she ever sang! She got to attend her first ever KU basketball game at Allen Fieldhouse last year, and attended the home football game last weekend during her visit. Kelly provided a wealth of information to us about the Foundation. In upcoming posts, we will be spotlighting different ways to give to the Foundation and help support Arthritis Research, along with other ways that you can get involved. Even if you aren't able to attend regular chapter meetings, or even one meeting, there are many ways you can contribute to AOII.
